Camille Bostick - Office Manager

Camille (Cami) Bostick had worked her way up from Secretary to Lease Analyst in the oil and gas industry by the time she arrived at the Spear Brothers Group in the fall of 2003.  She then was immediately put to work converting all our existing land and accounting systems to Petroware 2000.   She also put to good use her administrative, telecommunications, land and even property management expertise as she managed the office and financial systems in Midland for nearly fourteen years. 

As part of the SBG team, Cami also ensured that multiple office expansions and moves ran smoothly as we flexed significantly in personnel, square footage and fluorescent light bulbs over the years.  Cami’s work ethic and ability to mentor others will leave a lasting impression on all those with whom she worked. 

Chelsea Young Sosa - Administrative Professional

Chelsea arrived at the Spear Brothers Group in 2011 from Snyder, Texas, the self-proclaimed “Wind Energy Capital of the World.”    Her insider knowledge of how to deal with the windbags, hot air and squalls that are an integral part of this industry proved valuable as she carried out her responsibilities as receptionist and gatekeeper at SBG.   Chelsea’s previous experience working in paper-based records management helped her appreciate our electronic document imaging system as much as her experience dealing with fussy customers helped her embrace her frequent computer interactions.  Although the youngest among us at that time, Chelsea always exhibited a maturity beyond her years and was eager to learn more about every aspect of SBG including the meaning of phrases frequently tossed out during staff meetings (e.g., Bullwinkle, El Kabong, and "Boop Boop Be Do") by coworkers who were twice her age but not apt to admit it.

Mallory White Smith - Administrative Professional

Mallory arrived at SBG in 2006, equipped with several years of experience working with youthful clients in a pediatric medical office. Although young compared to many at the Spear Brothers Group, Mallory was able to successfully bond with the staff by utilizing interpersonal skills gained in a previous assignment (assisting residents at a local retirement center). Promoted from her initial position at SBG, Mallory provided research and accounting support for the the companies and managed the process which integrates scanned receivables into Petroware 2000.  While relatively new to the oil & gas business, Mallory continued to build knowledge every day at SBG in both the fundamentals of the petroleum industry as well as 1970’s popular culture (e.g., “Who is Keith Richards and Why?”).

Peggy Lentz - Office Manager (Deceased 2019)

Peggy brought over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry to her position managing the office in the early years when the business was headquartered in Hobbs, New Mexico. She attended South Plains College in Levelland, Texas and gained expertise in accounting and administrative assignments while working for a variety of oil and gas companies dealing with transportation, marketing and oil field service. Deciding to kick it up a notch, she then became a realtor in Hobbs, New Mexico during the booming late 1970’s.

When she hired on in 1992, she thought she was taking on a relatively passive assignment, helping the Spear brothers keep track of royalty checks. Instead, she became responsible for installing a computerized property management system, assimilating additional interests and managing the banking and administrative tasks for several drilling deals. Peggy officially retired as Office Manager in 2004 when the main office moved to Midland; however she still ran the Hobbs office part-time. There was no rest for the weary.
